Please allow me to introduce myself...

Abbey headshot and logo

For my very first blog post (!!) I want to introduce myself officially. Hi! I'm Abbey, founder of Gray Eat, Speak, Play and speech-language pathologist (SLP) specializing in feeding therapy and lactation counseling.

I began my career in 2014 as an SLP and feeding therapist (in Boston) and became a certified lactation counselor (CLC) in 2021 right when my first son was born. Fun fact, I took my CLC exam just a few days before I went into labor!

I started this private practice in 2020 and shifted to solely working for myself while being a “stay-at-home” mom in 2021 (in Maine). Now, we have two sons (June babies two years apart) and call both Georgia and Maine home.

Balancing motherhood and work life is hard but much easier because I create my own schedule and get to focus on niche areas that I love: caregiver education specifically related to starting solids and breast/bottle feeding, lactation counseling (including nursing, pumping, bottle feeding), and feeding therapy. As a mother of two who struggled with breastfeeding, I provide parents and their littles compassionate support for feeding (prenatal/birth through postpartum/early childhood).

For more information about me and how I can help you, check out my classes and services: lactation counseling and feeding therapy. If you're on social media, follow along on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Looking forward to meeting you and supporting you on your child's feeding journey!
